Need suggestion about bathroom job done

Hi,
I have made a contract with one of the VVS company for renovating my Bathroom. The bathroom was renovated although they cannot make it within agreed period. I checked the bathroom and found several faults like missing fug and silicon in some places, door was not installed straight, nails came out of wood in door list, lines can be seen in ceiling where the gips plate were joined, electrical switch not installed straight. I have already paid 90% of the agreed amount. I asked the company contact person, who is also the owner, to fix those, hand over the papers and take the remaining money but he is saying that the job is perfect and nothing is remaining to be done. In addition to that he mentioned me that the company is sold to other person. So what I understood here is that I need to agree on what is done, pay the money and get the paper. I am suspecting that he is treating me like this because I am foreigner and cannot communicate in Norwegian and will not be able to find rules and regulation.

I have wrote several email to company email address but no one is responding on that. 

Can anyone provide me suggestions about the process of complains or any other important steps that I can follow?

It is very unfortunate to hear about your experience. In this case the the Norwegian law håndverkertjenesteloven will be applied for you.

Even though you have sent emails I would recommend you to send an formal complaint to them first, and then take the case to forbrukerrådet (The Norwegian Consumer Council). They have templates for complaints and this one covers your case: Klage/complaint

Have you payed for the job? If not you can use it agains the company, dont pay until you get them to fix the stuff that arent according to the contract.

He says that he's already paid 90%.

And Santosh, I suppose the cost for fixing is more than the rest 10%?

Hi all,
Thank you very much for the fruitful suggestion.

I am not sure about the cost of fixing.
I have paid them 90% of the total cost according to the contract. Remaining 10% needs to be paid after checking all jobs, approving it and handling the papers. So according to contract I made my comments on jobs and request them to fix.

I wrote them email today requesting to take action by next week and warned them if the work is not completed, i will register the complain. I have also warned them that i will hire other company to fix the work and will send the bill to them. I am not sure if I can do that. Do anyone can provide me suggestion if i can charge them if i use another company to fix the job.

I am thinking to wait for one more week and definitely need help to complain if the work is not done.

I have one more question about procedure of approving the job. what is the procedure to check that the job is done according to Norwegian standard? and who can do the approval? Should there be any fagbrev holder person to check the job or can request them to bring certified person to check the job??
